Get behind the creation of new site-specific work by Ida Wieth, winner of the Deep Forest Art Land Prize 2021

We are pleased to present a podcast and video about Double Down (2021) by Ida Wieth, created in connection with the award of the Charlottenborg Foundation's Deep Forest Art Land Award 2021.

Danish artist Ida Wieth won this year's Deep Forest Art Land Award for Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 2021 and as part of the award has created a new site-specific work for Deep Forest Art Land in Kibæk, which opened on 23 October 2021. The exhibition is part of a new partnership between the Charlottenborg Foundation and Deep Forest Art Land, which aims to strengthen artists' ability to develop their practice as well as create solo presentations in a professional setting.

In the podcast, which was produced in collaboration with The Lake Radio, Thorbjørn Saugmann Andersen talks to sculptor Ida Wieth about her work Double Down (2021). "What's it like to exhibit glass art in a forest? How to work with glass on a large scale? And what is the handicraft's relationship to contemporary art?" Listen in HERE (in Danish).
