I am so pleased that my work - wander / wonder - has been selected for this year Spring Exhibition at Charlottenborg in Copenhagen 7/3 - 4/4 2021 - AND that I was awarded The Deep Forest Art Land Prize.

Here is the motivation for the Deep Forest Art Land Prize /

The jury selected the craft artist Ida Wieth to receive the Deep Forest Art Land Award for her innovative form experiments in glass and metal. In her practice, Ida Wieth remains loyal to her material, which she is constantly pressing to take in new directions in an inquisitive and persistent exploration of the transformative and expansive capacity of glass. Her work with abstraction creates a series of fleeting images and associations to actual objects, opening up new spaces and testing the faculties of viewers as well as the potential of glass. We are convinced that her delicate compositions with their poetic presence and focus on imprints and impressions will find a comfortable home among the vegetation at Deep Forest Art Land and enrich the many dialogues already taking place there. We look forward to discovering how Ida Wieth will tackle this context and anticipate experiencing the everlasting fragility of glass in the forest.
